This incredible woman right here (Tracy) is the reason I became a Doula. She was my doula for Peggy (even tho my induction went so quick that she missed it) and that’s when I learned what the role of a doula really was, because I had never heard of a doula before. I fell in love with the role and took her first training class to become a Doula myself a few years later. Having her as my trainer made me really look forward to every class. It wasn’t like regular school.. the hands on training, connecting with other doulas that basically become like family to you and the amount of incredible information you get really is unlike anything I’ve gone through before. I am so grateful for this training and for Tracy Hanson. Her energy is the embodiment of love.. her smile just absolutely fills up the entire room with sunshine!
She was also my doula with Zakir.. but again, I went so quick that she missed it.. again. However, having her support before and after has been such a gift. If you or anyone you know is expecting, I highly recommend you check out The Doula Cooperative and find you a doula for your birth team! Especially one trained by Tracy, because I swear, she trains the best doulas in the valley. And I may be biased… but I stand by that.
